Ski Mountaineering in Canada
Canada, like the USA is a huge and very mountainous country that gets some serious winter weather and has no shortage of ski-mountaineering opportunities, both day trips and long wilderness trips are great to ski.
Coast Range
The Coast range has some easily accessible mountains, such as Garibaldi and Matier that are just a few hours drive from Vancouver, but also some remote and serious ski mountaineering country in the area around Mt. Waddington further north.

Practical stuff
| When to go | March and April are probably the best months for the Coast Range, while the Rockies are better later in the spring, thru to May or even June | |
| Where to go | Fly to Vancouver in Canada for the Coast Range, to Calgary for the Rockies. A hire car (with chains) or a 4x4 can be useful for reaching the more remote skiing areas | |
| Costs | Canada is really not too expensive to travel round. You can usually buy gear there much cheaper than in Europe. | |
