Bizarre Skiing Photos
You won't believe worldwide adventure skiing can get so silly........ The ultimate proof that we are real adventure skiers, not fantasy ski photographers.

Trees growing on a glacier, whatever next...? They may not look big from here but some of those trees were at least ten years old, Shkhelda glacier Caucasus

Taking the easy way up. Ski mountaineering in Poland using a horse drawn sledge for access.

Above and Below. Lifting skis onto a 1,000 ton car ferry that has just run aground, Chilean Patagonia. David Roberts photos.

Back in Patagonia two years later we had different problems with water. Overall though the skiing was way better, all the rain which filled the streams down in the valley produced lots of perfect snow higher up. By the time we were heading for the summit of San Lorenzo we had perfect weather.

Riding the piste basher at Tsaghkadzor in Armenia. The chairlift was broken so the chairlift company improvised. Great. But how do you get thousands of skiers uphill this way? Well there was no-one else skiing that day, for a suitable fee the company had opened the entire resort just for the two of us!

Back in Chile, starting out for a days ski-touring by taking the Santiago Metro across town from the hotel. The commuters didn't see the funny side. We were back at the hotel by 7pm having skiied a 4500m peak. Not bad.....
