Skiing in the Gran Paradiso Group
The Gran Paradiso lies entirely in Italy a short distance from the city of Aosta. It is s popular ski mountaineering ascent in the spring. The ascent is a pretty straightforward 2-3 day trip from the road end at Pont although there is a short exposed scramble to the summit which is small rock pinnacle on which sits a statue of the Madonna.
